Common Room alternatives for teams without a $30,000 budget

Common Room's Essential plan is $2,500 a month billed annually, so $30,000 a year. Cheaper alternatives cover one signal each: Leadfeeder or RB2B for website visitors, Warmly for visitor identification with routing, Octolens for social mentions, Clay for job changes and intent, and Sluice for public engagement turned into scored leads.

What you are paying for with Common Room

Common Room gathers signals about people and accounts into one place. On Essential, at $2,500 a month billed annually (as of October 2026), you get Bombora intent, job changes, social and community engagement, website de-anonymisation and custom signals, plus alerts, briefs and integrations with your CRM, sales engagement tools, Slack, webhooks and MCP. It includes 5 seats, 100,000 contacts and 2,500 Prospector credits.

For a funded team with a RevOps person, that bundle can be good value. Teams look elsewhere for plainer reasons:

  • The floor is $30,000 a year, committed annually.
  • Most small teams use one or two signals, not all of them.
  • There is no sequencer, so you still pay for a sending tool.

The useful move is to unbundle: list the signals you actually acted on last quarter, and buy only those.

Which signals did you act on?

Ask your team which alerts led to a conversation. It usually comes down to one of these four:

  1. A target company visited the website.
  2. Someone engaged publicly (commented on a post, asked a question in a community, mentioned a competitor).
  3. A champion changed jobs.
  4. An account showed third-party intent.

Signal 1: website visitors

Leadfeeder (Dealfront)

  • Suits: B2B teams who want to know which companies visit their site.
  • Price: Lite is free, identifying up to 100 companies a month with 7 days of data; Discover from 79 euros a month billed annually; Activate from 369 euros; Scale from 599 euros (as of October 2026).
  • Weakness: company-level only. You learn that a firm visited, not who.

RB2B

  • Suits: US-focused teams who want person-level visitor identification at low cost.
  • Price: free with 150 company-level resolutions a month; Starter $79; Pro $149, which adds contact-level identification for US visitors; Pro+ $199 (as of October 2026).
  • Weakness: person-level identification is US only, and RB2B quotes match rates of 15 to 45% depending on plan.

Warmly

  • Suits: teams who want visitor identification with routing, alerts and optional AI chat.
  • Price: AI Web-Deanonymization $10,000 a year billed annually, or $4,875 a quarter (as of October 2026).
  • Weakness: a third of Common Room's price, but still a five-figure annual commitment.

A note on Koala, which many teams compared with Common Room: its website says it was acquired by Cursor and was shutting down on 30 September 2026, so it is no longer an option.

Signal 2: public engagement

Octolens

  • Suits: founder-led and marketing teams who want alerts on keywords across Reddit, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Hacker News, GitHub and review sites.
  • Price: Pro $159 a month billed annually, with 15,000 mentions and 10 keywords (as of October 2026).
  • Weakness: you get the mention, not the person's contact details or a fit score.

Sluice

  • Suits: founders, small sales teams and agencies who want public engagement turned into people they can contact.
  • How it works: point it at a post, a phrase, a competitor's G2, Capterra or Trustpilot page, companies hiring for a role, or Google advertisers. It works out who each person is, scores them 0 to 100 against your customer profile, links back to where they were found and verifies their email. It also re-reads people who scored well each month and flags anyone who changed company, which covers part of signal 3. Leads go to HubSpot with a note on why they are a lead, and your existing customers and open deals are never cold-pitched.
  • Website visitors too, with limits: a one-line snippet shows companies that own their network, with the pages they read, worked out from public IP registry data with no cookie and no stored IP. Visitors on home broadband or mobile cannot be identified, and most small companies on shared ISPs are invisible. Leadfeeder or RB2B will identify more.
  • Price: Starter $9 a month, Working $39, Agency $149, monthly, no seats (as of October 2026). See pricing.
  • Weakness: no third-party intent data, no "raised money" events, no Salesforce, and Sluice is new without public reviews. It is not a replacement for Common Room's account-level view at enterprise scale.

Signals 3 and 4: job changes and intent

Clay

  • Suits: an operator comfortable building workflows. Launch includes job-change and company-news signals; Growth adds web intent and CRM sync.
  • Price: free tier; Launch $167 a month; Growth $446 a month (as of October 2026). Unlimited seats.
  • Weakness: you build the logic yourself. Two currencies make costs hard to predict, and third-party reviews put the learning curve at 20 to 40 hours. See Clay alternatives if that is a concern.

Say you pick RB2B Pro at $149, Sluice Working at $39 and Clay Launch at $167. That is $355 a month, or $4,260 a year, against $30,000. You lose the single account view and Bombora intent, and you take on the work of joining three tools. Whether that trade is right depends on whether anyone on your team would have used the parts you dropped.

The decision

If you have a RevOps owner and act on intent data weekly, Common Room's bundle earns its price. If you act on one signal, buy that signal. Our guide to buying signals that convert helps you work out which one that is, and Trigify alternatives covers social-engagement tools specifically.
